Tell me a little about Rick Torres and your experience as an Elvis Impersonator/Entertainer?
I am the leading Elvis Tribute Artist in the Bay Area, and also the 2008,2009, and 2010 Rising Star Entertainer of the year for performing more shows than any Elvis impersonator in North America! Recently I was on CBS "Eye on the Bay" and I just premiered in a movie “The Doggie Boogie” that premiered at the Sonoma film festival will be in the theatres in summer 2012. I have performed about 900 performances in my 16 years as an Elvis Impersonator/tribute artist. I perform many Bay Area Elvis Singing Telegrams, Wedding ceremonies, renewing of wedding vows, Elvis Tribute shows in Bay Area California, and also Elvis appearances in the San Jose, Santa Clara, and San Francisco area and surrounding cities. Now with my new service that include my pink Cadillac "The Pink Caddy Cruise" and "The Pink Caddy Concert" we can offer even more! As an example using the caddy to shuttle the bride and groom or in some cases using the caddy during the ceremony utilizing the external sound system. What options do we have for our wedding ceremony and reception, or in the other services you offer?
At King Creole Entertainment this is a one stop shop. We offer Karaoke parties, as well as Elvis tributes, and singing telegrams. You get to make a lot of decision in your performances and or wedding ceremony. You can pick the songs to be performed, pick the performance suit I will be wearing, and also any ideas you have we will do our best to bring them to reality. You can make your Ceremony as basic as a standard ceremony or we can add various Backdrops we have available to give it more of the Elvis Wedding feel to it. We can supply you with some standard ceremonies or you can create your own! If you would like you can give me information about the two of you and when you met and you lives together and I can try creating a ceremony for you. I can stick around for the ceremony and also perform your first song as man and wife. Options for backdrops for your ceremony can be seen on this site under Extra Elvis.
Do you perform renewal wedding ceremonies?
Yes we do! We can create a ceremony based on your lives together, and you will also get a certificate of renewal. This is like our singing telegram with a wedding ceremony. You will get 4 songs performed during it and you both get a illustrated scarf with a phrase like: "Happy Anniversary (you) and (Him) !" If your names are actually “you” and “him”, and you are married, this example is just a lucky guess on my part...............................I am not a physic Elvis or anything.
How many Elvis Impersonators are there are in your company or is it just you?
Yes, I am the only Elvis Officiate/performer because it is only the best for you baby! I will be at your event.
What if you get sick or lose a limb and can't make my event?
In 15 years I have never missed an event. My reputation means everything to me. My years of testimonials are proof of that, but in the event of that unscheduled death "namely myself" I may still attend in sprit! Don't worry that is nothing you need to worry about.
What if we want you to perform song that is not on your list?
If I have plenty of prior notice I can find the audio track and rehearse it. This has happened before.
What types of options do we have for performance songs for the wedding ceremony or a performance?
Well, generally I can sing a song as the Bride and groom come down the aisle, and I can arrange the song based on the time it would take you to come down the aisle and face me. In other words I will edit the songs down to 1 minute if necessary keeping the beginning of the song & the end of the song and edit the center. The same can be done as you proceed down the aisle. And I can also perform before the service starts. You have all the control over the songs I perform
If possible, can we see you perform a wedding reception or performance/tribute?
I have a few websites with video and pictures. There are examples of some weddings, performances, and Pink caddy cruises & concerts. These will give you a general Idea. Also I have a Picture Gallery. The public shows are easier to talk at. As far as weddings is they are family, and friends. I think they might be offended if I allowed someone to attend. You might crash the Wedding or Ceremony, but I don’t know you...LOL!
What time would you arrive to set up for my Reception/Ceremony or performance?
Depends on what we will be doing as far as services. The most popular shows I offer are “The Pink Caddy Cruise”, “The Pink Caddy Concert”, “Elvis and the Pink Caddy Show”, and the “Elvis Quickie” which all fall under the singing telegram services, I can say with confidence that no one can offer the magnitude of telegram we provide. The average is 30 minutes for a Appearance or regular wedding ceremony. We do offer more elaborate shows or extras to the above shows such as backdrops, working Las Vegas sign, or lighting effects. A set up sound system at the ceremony, or reception requires more than just a 1st song.
What type of sound system do you use?
We have all professional equipment. We have for the basic wedding ceremony or singing telegrams a 1000 watt self powered sound system designed by myself to allow a state of the art sound system that doesn’t need power. With this system you could get married on a hill, forest, beach, roof, tree, and these systems up to the task! We also use this system for performing singing telegrams..........We do have larger system we can utilize if the room is very large.
How much do you charge for wedding ceremonies or your Elvis appearances/singing telegrams and how do you price?
My fees vary depending on the services you decide on such as backdrops or other extras, and the location of your Ceremony. Our basic rates for wedding ceremonies start as low as $700 in Santa Clara County. The 4 song show singing telegram “The Elvis Quickie” in Santa Clara County is $220.00, The Elvis and the Pink Caddy Show is $250.00. You can also opt for more than and more songs which is factored at $50.00 for 15 minutes which includes 2 more songs. Prices for other counties vary depending on the distance.
What Do I get for $700.00 with the wedding?
You get the ceremony, If possible we will also attend the rehearsal, if possible we will work with you prior to the rehearsal to block the time frame it will take for the entire wedding party to come down the isle including you standing with your future husband. You will be able to pick the performance suit from the 13 we currently have available. Also you can pick the songs to be performed before the ceremony during & after. We can also supply you with some basic ceremonies, or we can assist you in creating one. ……..With the singing telegrams you can pick the songs, the performance suit, the color of the complementary Elvis scarf, and the illustration for the scarf.
